East End Arts & LISC STEAM Collaboration: Grades 7-12

with Judy Isbitiren LISC and Kathleen Ruscick EEA

STEAM weekly workshop is a program that is a collaboration between EEA and the LI Science Center in Riverhead. Our curriculum will be a one hour program based on a famous artwork, for example, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, where we will discuss the painting, and the students will get a brief art history lesson on the artist. Then we will connect the art work with a science topic, for example the Universe. We will close the class with a combined art and science project which will relate to both the artists style and connect to the science topic. It will be one hour of jam packed fun and a little education. All materials are included in the price. This will go for 15 sessions and we will promote a new topic each week.  Both EEA and LISC members are eligible for member pricing.

Cost: member - $280 (15 sessions); non-member - $343.75 (15 sessions)

Dates: October 7, 14, 21, 28, Nov. 4, 18, Dec. 2, 9, 16, Jan 6, 13, 20, 27, Feb. 3, 10 2021. (15 sessions)
