World Oceans Day is June 8. Join us on an adventure exploring the most abundant and mysterious places in Earth, our oceans. Discover the diverse physical properties of the seafloor and find out interesting facts about ocean. Learn about wave formation and what influences it as well as our earth natural weather conveyor belt. Explore the different sun zones of the ocean and what marine life lives in each zone. Experiment with water density and develop a deeper understanding of how salt influences water buoyancy.
Science Saturday Workshop prices ($20 per student) include the workshop and museum admission for the participating student. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must purchase admission upon entry ($15 per person). This is not a drop-off program, an adult must be present at all times. Science Saturday's are free for members.
